The truth about
Santa
Easter Bunny
Tooth Fairy...
A post got me thinking. My son 7 and I want him to keep that innocence a bit longer...He asked about santa...and I told him that I wouldnt be able to afford all the presents under the tree..
Now before you get on my case for my lying...My son knows about the fact we are at war. that I have lost friends that I wrote to. So am I wrong for wanting him to remain a kid about some stuff??
I've never told my kids, they came to me when they no longer believed and told me so. At that point, there is no reason in denying it. Why would you want to tell him the truth now if he still believes?
I dont plan on telling him...but some think I am being a bad mom for letting him belive a lie I forgot to mention I didnt buy all the stuff under the tree, some was given to me so when I said "I couldnt afford all that" its the truth.
i don't plan on telling them until they come to me. My 9 year old still believes....I think. I think she is the type of person that may find out but still wants to believe and may not tell me that she knows. haha
We do not make a big deal about it nor do i plan on telling her anything. She is 6 and believes still. Heck I am in my 30s and i believe in the concept even though they do not come for me anymore.
I will tell them when they come to me and ask, be it at 7 or at 17. Plain and simple.
