I was just wondering if any of your schools charge you as well if your child makes a visit. Luckily, our insurance will pay any of the cost BUT I know some people don't have the same insurance. I think a basic "kid gets hurt and needs to be treated aka ice and such" is about $220. I just don't get it. When did we start charging for nurse visits in public school? My kids are on strick rules to NOT go if at all possible!
That is just wrong, IMO. If the school is going to charge you that much to see the nurse, they should just call the ambulance and have them transport the children to the ER every time they get a slight injury.
Yikes that is very dangerous if she isn't trained as an actual nurse.
Quoting Hottubgodess:
Our school nurse is also the secretary. No charge here.
again...still...wow....ok what about the parents who don't have insurance??
