assignments. 5. So, I informed her she is grounded for her month. She screamed and yelled. I did not feed into her emotional meltdown and told her to talk to me when she calmed down. She has been in the room for about 30 minutes packing EVERYTHING of hers into Walmart plastic shopping bags. She said she is going to live at her school. I asked her how she waa going to carry all those bags......and now she is trying to shove them into bigger bags. I am tempted to see how far she will go (of course I would follow her, as she is not allowed past the gas station without an adult.
I am not looking foward to the teen years. She is already an emotional child. I love her so much though. :-)
Now she is pulling clothes at of the dirty clothes pile. She is almost done, so I must get dressed and ready to
follow if she does try to leave.
She got every single item she has all bagged up and realized she could not carry it all. She grabbed her backpack (with all her school stuff) and a single bag of clothes and walked out the
door. She made it just past the gas
station when I stopped her. I had a
wedding to get ready for and did not
have the time to keep following her.
As I got ready, I had her sit in the bathroom & talk to me. I told her how important she is to the family and that we need her. I also explained she needs to find new ways to express her feelings when she is mad or upset about punishments.
We are going to finish our talk today. We are going grocery shopping today & I am leaving dh and the younger dd so she & I can have quality conversation without interruption. Maybe even a trip to Starbucks is in order.
