Maybe some trail mix to munch on while you read
But I vote you call it an adventure basket. Cause books take you on an adventure.

You already have everything I thought of.

I love the idea of calling at an adventure basket. You could focus on all adventure themed reading materials!

You might want to include a journal or diary.

I agree with this. An Adventure Basket sounds like a lot of fun as well.

All of your ideas of what to put in there sound great to me. Maybe add a little juice bag or juice box, to go with it for after the snacks that they eat while reading?  I wouldn't put too much chocolate in as part of the snacks though. Make them as healthy as you can get.

Note: I didn't say to keep chocolate out of it. Just to moderate how much you add.
