Has your child had an issue at school that you felt wasn't being addressed adequately?

When did you decide it was time to speak with the principal?

I would talk to the principal if I had talked to the teacher and got nowhere

Only after talking to the teacher and giving her time to address it.

If I had to speak to the principal it would be mine last choice. I would also make sure that I  talk to the  teacher  first. If there is no changes than I will talk to the principal.

The only time I have ever had to talk to the principal my dd has a couple kids in her class talking about bringing guns to school. I was not about to let that slide. Other than that her teacher has always dealt with things well.

I addressed an issue once.

It did not escalate to needing to speak with the principal.

Thankfully that hasn't happened to my son yet. I have always been able to resolve any issues.

I talked with the teacher first and when I felt like I wasn't being heard and my concerns were not taken seriously I made an appt with the principal and teacher. We talked everything out and everything was great.

I haven't had an issue yet that I've even had to address with my son's teacher.  But I would only go to the principal if I felt the teacher wasn't adequately addressing my concerns.
