So my 6yr old daughter Chaeli who is a first grader this year came home from school yesterday and this is how the conversation went:
Chaeli: Mom can I have some money for school? Its not for food...
Me: What do you need it for?
Chaeli: Well you know there are kids who don't have food and money to buy food, well they are collecting money for them at school and i want to help!
I told her we would talk to her step dad and see what we have to send... but the fact that she wanted to just melted my heart, i was a proud momma. It is moments like this that reassure me that i'm doing good by my babies. Just had to share my proud moment!
