Humiliating a child rarely teaches him or her anything. They never forget the parent humilitated him. I would only use it as a last resort.

For being a bully? Totally.  Bullies humiliate their victims, why not give them a taste of the dish they serve to others?

I would do this. 

There are consequences to your actions. I'd much rather see this going on than see those same kids a few years later going to jail.

With my older three, definitely.  They are old enough to understand what they did and since they don't like humiliation, it would work.
