A lot of things, actually. The most memorable is the Challenger Exploding.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration - NASA family lost seven of its own on the morning of January 28, 1986, when a booster engine failed, causing the Shuttle Challenger to break apart just 73 seconds after launch. Today the nation reflects and remembers those brave souls that we lost 27 years ago.

On this day in 1986, the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded killing 7 members including Christa McAulife, the teacher that won a spot on the team. I  remember watching it at school... I was 11 years old when it happened. I'm the same age that Mrs. McAulife was when she died.
