Our 4 Year Old Has WHAT???!!! ** ETA**

~ So my hubby & I were in the living room watching TV & the kids come running in from the playroom asking if they could have some Jello.

We said that it was OK.

They were so happy that they started jumping up & down proceeded by the "Oh Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!!" and smothering us with hugs & kisses.

(Yeah...Who knew Jello was that exciting?)

Anyway, all of the sudden hubby cries out; "Ewww... WTH is that smell??"

We immediately start sniffing around & then it hit us!!!

going crazyIt was our 4 year old daughter's armpits!

And I kid you not, it smelled like the worse Adult-Onion-Stinking B.O. ...EVER!!!

She's 4!!!

4 years & 7 months to be exact!!!

She gets showered & spritzed daily!!!

WTH???

Sooooooo...... Here's the question!

Is this normal for this age?

And for those with older kids... Do you remember how old your child was when you discovered they had armpit funk?

*** good  ***

Thank you all for responding.

I feel better knowing that she's not the only one out there that has had the "armpit funk" especially at such an early age... LOL

It was just so surprising to us, because she's so little, weighing only 30lbs. & 3ft 3inches tall.

* To the woman who suggested TOM's Brand Deodorant... Thank you! I completely forgot about that. The thought of using regular deodorant is scary with them having so many chemicals.

** To the others, who suggested that could be from certain foods, that makes sense too & I will most definitely keep an eye on that.

*** And to all the teachers... I feel for you!

My friend's son once had an awkward note sent home from his teacher saying; "His shoes are smelling strong." YeeeOUCH! My friend didn't take that so well & gave the teacher a piece of her mind & a pretty good tongue lashing.

What else did she have to eat? My DS will be 5 in March and DD is 6.5 and I haven't notices either one having any BO.

I have 3 girls:  9, and 6 year old twins.

My 9 year old does put deodorant on but, really, doesn't need it.  She is using it to get into the habit.

My twins....well, only one......PEEE--EWW!  Holy moly.  I can't believe her pits smell as bad as they do.  She is also the smaller of the twins so I'm not sure why her pits smell the worst of the 3.  From time to time, I've asked her to put some on too.

My girl does not have stinky underarms.  Once in awhile she likes to wear my perfume to be more grown up.  She is 6.
