...wear his kilt to school today.  Complete with kilt hose, flashers, sporran, and a kilt pin.  He's been asking to wear it for a few weeks (ever since it arrived) and since his school's having an international fair today and tomorrow, I figured it was the best time to let him.  I was half-expecting a phone call asking me to bring him a change of clothes.  Nope.  Nothing.  He wore it all day and was perfectly happy with it.  I was a little worried about him being teased and I cautioned him that other kids might make fun of him.  He said a couple kids asked why he was wearing a skirt and he just told them "It's not a skirt, it's a kilt.  It's for a boy."  Didn't phase him at all.  :)

Cool.   I am glad he has the self confidence to wear it around his peers and others at school.

Totally cool!

My oldest is a redheaded Ian...I keep telling him he needs to learn the bagpipes so we can dress him up as a scottsman.

I'm just glad he has so much confidence at his age - he's 6 and in 1st grade.  I'm hoping it continues as he gets older.  :)
