She has had access to one since infanthood granted she couldnt control it then. She will be 7 next month and knows how to use the internet one and how to put music cds in the dvd player.
My boys have always had one.
My kids have always had clock radios in their rooms. I liked to know what time it was in the middle of the night when I got with up with them when they were babies and then by the time they were in preschool I'd set the alarm and they would turn them off and get up. They don't have CD players... we just have one for the family that is in the living room. This post got me thinking- we never listen to music except when we're in the car!
My kids have had music access since birth.
I think ds1 was about 8 or 9 when we got him a clock radio, and we gave him the old stereo that used to be in dh's office at work for his 10th b-day. We gave ds2 a clock radio for his 8th b-day. Dd does not have one yet; we'll probably get her one for her 8th b-day as well.
