Usually buy stuff for it but this year I am cutting back. Kids are older. But I am doing one for my niece! She will be 3 in April and is really into Easter egg hunts!!

We make it typically with a basket she can pick out.

We reuse the same baskets every yr and I put stuff in them. Nothing much at all- a little candy, the eggs they colored the night before (I sneak downstairs and put them in shortly before they come down). . .  The Easter Bunny gives them each one toy, and that is placed in front of their basket.

I always make their baskets. They get a new spring outfit, sandals and out door toys. =D

The bunny does it :)
Make... the prebought ones are usually more candy and toys than my girls need. So we do easter baskets with one stuffed animal and two or three books and a show. Instead of candy they get fruit snacks or something like that since they dont eat candy as often as other stuff.

I used to make baskets, turning clorox bottles or cool whip tubs into fanciful ducks or bunnies ... now I save the old wicker ones and repackage them each yr with new contents.
