Is it possible to make laundry fun?

DD is 10 and think it's about time she started tackling her own laundry.  I've explained the process to her and she's just dragging her feet with the whole thing, she thinks it's boooorrrring.

Anyone have any ideas to make it a bit more fun and exciting. I know, probably impossible but thought I would ask.

Let her go to store and pick out a special scent  just for her clothing?   She needs to learn that all things are not fun and knowing how to do your own laundry is a necessary life skill unless you are filthy rich.

Does she like basketball? She could "shoot" her clothes into the washing machine. Works for my 7 year old. She's not a fan of putting her clothes away when they're dry though.

I have no idea, LOL, my husband does all of the laundry.  I do, however, believe that not everything needs to be fun to justify it's existence.  Many times the answer is, it just has to be done.  End of story.

I can't think of anything. It is what it is: a necessary chore...LOL

Maybe you could teach her how laundry was done before washing machines and at least have her be grateful for how easy it is nowadays?

I wouldn't worry about making it fun, it is just necessary
