Use Reusable Lunch Bags!
The average school-age child throws away 67 pounds of trash per year just from their lunch!

Using reusable lunch bags and reusable containers instead of brown paper bags and ziplocks to carry your lunch will save our landfills from becoming overloaded with trash AND save you money, too!

Tell us:
Do you use reusable lunch totes?
What are some things that you can do to make your lunches greener?

Then, take a break and enjoy some of the most beautiful places on Earth! >>

My son isn't bringing a lunch yet, but I will get him a tote of some sort for next year when he will be bringing lunch.

Since my kids school has a trash-free lunch program they really push us to use reusable containers. Which is fine with me, I even wash plastic baggies anyway.  I'm in the process of making more fabric baggies, those would be greener than what I currently use because if they end up lost or broken they'll degrade faster than the plastic containers would.
