Could you be a vegetarian for a week?

What is the most logical reason for becoming a vegetarian?

I tried. My sister is a vegetarian and she stayed with us for a week. I have been wanting go do meatless Mondays, for health and cost reasons. I figured since she was there I would take advantage and have her show me to make some recipes. Dh didn't go for it. He after the second day of no meat he got up from the table and made a steak on the grill. It was in December!

I've been a vegetarian my whole life, now it would be hard to be "vegan", even for one week because I love cheese and ice cream.

I probably could be

Wife to Jason (07/10/98), Step Mom to Lucas Robert (07/12/96). Mommy to Michael James (03/21/00), Madalyn Rose (02/27/03), Emily Grace (01/07/05), Daniel Joseph (01/04/06) & Christopher Thomas (03/21/11).

Not I! Humans are designed to be omnivores.

DH decided he wanted to go vegan. Got a vegan cookbook, went and got him all sorts of special stuff. That lasted about 2 weeks.
I cooked several meals

No thanks. I'm too picky and wouldn't get all the nutrients I need from that lifestyle.

Yes, I could do it. But only if I could be a lacto-ovo veggy. I love my ice cream and scrambled eggs! ;)

I actually was a lacto-ovo vegetarian from the time I was 15 until I was 19. I don't remember why I did it. I think I just lost all desire to eat meat. My body didn't crave it at all and then when I would be helping my mom make dinner the sight of raw meat was disgusting to me.

I wouldn't mind going vegetarian again but nobody else in my family here would go for it. I couldn't deal with the effort of doing two different meal plans.

I could do it for a week.  It would be interesting to give it a try just to find new, good dinners to make.

I couldn't be vegetarian for life, though.  I like meat too much.
