My little girl broke my heart..

she turned 7 and went and chopped off all of her pretty hair! She is growing up and wanting independant things for herself. I totally supported her and would never tell her how sad I am, but at the same time I am so proud of my big girl. She had her heart set on donating her hair to Locks of Love and it had to be a full 12 inches, that was the deciding factor on the length. <3

It's hard watching them grow up, even when they do make you proud.

DD did this before kindergarten. She had 10 inches and got it cut to her hairline.  she is 7 now and gets an inverted bob each time we go to salon.

I am immensely proud of her. Her next mission is to hold a yard sale with her over abundance of toys and to donate the money to a local childrens hospice.  I love that as she gets older and is learning the evils of the world her first instinct is to help, it just make me sad that she has to grow up and know that the world isn't such a wonderful place as she once thought.  I know I am being silly, but watching them grow is such a catch-22, she will never be my big eyed baby again.

She is growing up and wanting independant things for herself, and it is all happening so suddenly.  Even my mom has remarked on how much she has changed in the last few months.

Honestly I like it better chopped :-)

Ok read the whole thing! That was awesome for her to donate. You should be proud. At first it sounded like she cut her hair herself.
