The youngest goes to the primary school (pre-k thru 2nd) and her school is 4 blocks away.  The oldest is in the intermediate school (3rd-5th) and her school is 15 blocks away.

We are in walking distance of all of our public schools, the only niche in the school district that prior to our vote to bus all elementary students walked from K to 12.

The elementary school is 5 blocks, the middle school is just about 1/2 mile in one direction and the high school/jr high complex are about a mile in the other.

As the kids get older the distance they can safely walk increases.

Like a 5 or 10 minute walk. We are right around the corner from it.

We are within walking distance, about maybe a 10 minute walk; give or take depending on how fast we are walking.

We're about 1 mile from my kids elementary school. It takes me about 3 minutes to get there. My oldest is going to middle school, which is about 4 miles away, but with lights and traffic in town it can take about 10-20 minutes (10 when there's little traffic, 20 at the beginning or end of school day with school traffic and lots of high school kids that drive!)
