I usually take each of the kids out separately for "Just me and Mom" time, and we do something fun and pick out a first day of school accessory or something.  First Day I make a big breakfast and walk all the way in to the classroom:)

Last year, for the first day of school I put an encouraging note in their lunchbox and a special treat for after school...  I also take them the first day...

I make my daughter chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast and then of course take photos.

I just do the samething I do every day throughout the year. They get home to fresh fruit snacks and dip or veggies and dip and freshly made fruit smoothie. Then in the winter cold months its a warm hot chococlate and some warm cookies or banana bread or something to get rid of the chill. lol

So I do it every day something special when they get home from school.

1 mom liked this

No! Why? After all you did just finish buying them 150-300 dollars or more on  clothes

and an additional 50+ for school supplies..

I would think all that new stuff to use and wear.. would be gift enough
