S/O of the missing underwear

I've read a few really far fetched stories here lately and it reminded me of what our kindergarten teacher says to the parents every year "I won't believe everything your child tells me about you, if you promise to do the same about me."  What are some of the craziest tales that your kids have told you?

When my oldest was in 4th grade he was having hours of homework a night. He was being pulled out of class for 2 therapies a few times a week and also for instrumental lessons and band. He was always having to make up work at home and in many cases I was having to teach him the subject in the evenings. It was a rough homework year.

Anyway, one night he did his math homework in about 5 minutes. He wanted me to find more for him to do. He said his teacher told him he HAD to do at least 30 minutes of each subject per night. I told him he was done and he didn't have to, but he insisted he would get in trouble. I had his IEP meeting a few days later and it turns out that his teacher said he should be doing no MORE than 30 minutes/subject a night and that he could stop after 30 minutes even if he wasn't totally finished (except for study guides/test studying, of course.) *sigh* lol Having a kiddo who doesn't always pick up on the main point and who is not a communicator we've had many misunderstandings like this. His teachers and I know to take everything with a grain of salt.

No worries, lol. Since they have spared you so far, maybe they are saving up for middle/junior high school! Those tales can be doozers lol

I can't do my homework because  my mom makes me do chores right until it's bedtime.

I couldn't do my homework because my dad got mad and burned it with his lighter.

I didn't do my homework because my mom threw it away.

I didn't study my spelling words because my mom said I'm not allowed to.

I didn't get my permission slipped signed because my mom doesn't have time to do it.

If you make me get that test signed my parents will put me up adoption.

I didn't do my homework because our house got broken into and the police came and took my dad to jail.

My mom isn't coming to the conference tonight because she too tired.
