Great article/video about safety of flu shots:

We don't get them.  If you do, make sure (and watch the nurse to make certain) that you get one that is thimerosal-free.  No one should have 25 mcgs. of mercury injected into them!! (and realize that they also contain aluminum and formaldehyde, even if you avoid the mercury).

We've never had a flu shot, I don't really see the point to getting one.  My children are vaxed though, we just don't do this one.

I'm sorry your arm is sore.  If you did get one with Hg it might be a good idea to take extra vit. c to help detox it. I've heard It takes the average person about 30 days to detox Hg.  Some kiddos (like mine did) hang on to it for a long time and it can do damage... (story on my journals page)  There is more info. online about how to detox. if you are concerned.

I've never gotten a flu shot nor will I ever allow DD to.  My doctor was trying to convince me of the benefits but he couldn't guarantee me there would be no side effect nor that it would actually prevent me from getting the flu and it's not good for a different strain of flu.  I also believe it weakens the immune system.  I'd rather take my chances with the flu.

Yeah, We don't do flu shots. I won't put that in my body; I don't want it being put in my Son's body.
