I guess this is the loom everyone is talking about. I have for Xmas for dd a regular loom beginners kit. But this seems to be the popular one.

Does anyone's kid have this loom? How is it?

A few of the boys on DS hockey team has it, they seem to like it.  DS has a necklace that one of them made for him.  DS is not interested in it however.

DD has it and has made TONS of bracelets. She and a girl she met today (girl was visiting her grandparents behind us) showed each other how to make certain patterns. Everyone here has them.

Apparently retail is about $16 (Michaels) Amazon has it for $30 now - no way. Hopefully there will be more out by Christmas.
Still, we'll probably wait for her 8th birthday.

Yes. I guess both boys and girls do it.

I was going to ask my sister if my niece (who is 8) would like one for Christmas.

Yes, my nine year old son has one and he loves it! He's made all kinds of cool and complicated bracelets with it. It's a big thing at his school right now.
