 I had to vote "Other".

For ds1, a quick snack then homework is the best.

For ds2 and dd, playing for a while first, then starting in on it while dinner is being fixed works well. Helps that we don't eat dinner until 7 p.m.

He does better after a break.

Just because a parent works doesn't mean they shouldn't know this. I work full time, but I still know when he can best concentrate on homework.

When they wre in PS, it was a quick snack and then right to work. They had a 45 mnute bus ride to talk and joke around and relax so they could focus when they got home.

Homework isn't an issue for us since it's just approx 10 minutes of reading.  So we do it whenever - sometimes right when he gets home, sometimes a little later, sometimes as part of bedtime reading.

My oldest son does most of his in study hall.  Both are used to having a quick snack and then jumping into homework.
