2 moms liked this

She is about 50% on the peer chart.  I call her my little square since her height and weight are the same (ha ha ).  She is 90% for height.  People tend to think she is older due to her height.

Both of mine are tiny....they are underweight. My 8 year old is in the 14% and my 5 yr old is in the 15%...

Ds has been off the charts in heighth, and at about the 60th percentile in weight steadily throughout his entire life. He's very tall, and decently lanky.

They follow their growth curve well.  As far as percentile when compared to others, they are right down the middle for the most part.

My son is in the 90% for both height and weight. So he's just right.

I have 2 kids who are normal weights and one that is underweight.

My underweight child was over the 90th % for weight at birth, fell through the charts, and eventually leveled off at around the 20th% from about age 2-9. By 10 he had dropped to the 10th% and now at 13 is in the 2nd%. He has only been able to gain 2 lbs. from age 10-13. He burns calories very fast, even being on a higher calorie diet. He's pretty short compared to kids in his grade as well, and since he was redshirted he's actually almost a year older than some! Hopefully he'll have a growth spurt soon- at least he's ok with his size!
