It's Screen Free Week!

Are you turing off the screens this week?

If you are, what types of activities do you have planned?

What do your kids enjoy doing other than screen time?

Nope.  Most of our house is still in boxes as we just moved.  Kids have homework, and play outside for a bit after school every day, so they don't have too much screen time anyway.  I need something to help keep them occupied and out of my hair while I am busy unpacking, and since it is a new State, we don't have any friends here yet.

No. The kids rarely watch tv or play electronics. I am on about two hours a day (both things) seens like reasonable limits. :)

I have a college course that I'm taking and I have a test due this Thursday.  I will need my computer to work on that so I don't think it's fair to tell my kids that they can't get on their phones, etc if I'm on mine.

I had no idea it was Screen Free Week.

And, to be honest, I don't care.

We don't watch a lot of tv and the kids don't spend a lot of time using electronics anyway.  I'm not going to tell them they can't use them for some arbitrary "screen free" week.  We do plenty of outdoor and other activities that I don't feel the need to "unplug".

Nope. Mom here uses it as background noise, and b/c it's on so much, it's nothing special, so my kids don't watch it constantly. They watch, yeah, but they enjoy other stuff. The boys like cars/trucks, Legos, fishing, Scouts, and helping Dad if it involves using tools. Dd likes playing w/ friends, Littlest Pet Shop, Scouts, and helping cook. All 3 kids like riding bikes and camping.

Wouldn't it be really quiet around here if we all went screen free?

Nope, we need the computer for part of the kids schooling.

They play outside a lot. We have a play set in the backyard that they play on often. They also ride their bikes, jump on the trampoline, kick around a soccer ball. They have a fort in the wooded area at the end of our property, they play there a lot.
