Should a teacher wear this shirt?

The front says."4th Grade Teacher"

The back says. "Only Because Freakin Awesome Is Not An official Job Title!"

This shirt bothers me for several reasons.

#1 Freakin is a replacement for the other F word. I don't allow my students to say and I certainly wouldn't say it. I definitely wouldn't wear it.

#2 Every word on the back is capitalized except "official."  That's just annoying.

What you think if your child's teacher wore that shirt to school?

To school? No not appropriate. But outside I don't see why not. It's a funny shirt

All those shirts are not really appropriate according to most dress code policies. However outside of school- why not?

To school, no. But outside, who cares. Its against dress code policy at both my odd previous school and both girls new school anyways.

The teachers wouldn't be allowed to wear that to school here.

To school, no that isn't appropriate.  Then again, our teacher's are only permitted to wear spirit t-shirts on certain days.

I do have a friend who teaches second grade that has one of those.  She wears it during the summer every now and again.  Last summer she wore it to my "goodbye summer" picnic.

Ok in my books.

But my kids schools don't have dress codes at all. Lol

And even if it did, wouldn't care about an innocent shirt like that.
On a teacher.

My dd wears a shirt.that says smartass instead of smarties......on the box of smarties on her shirt. And she's 12.

I think I'd be OK with it. Kids at that age (at least my DS) wouldn't have understood what freakin stood for. DD is my younger one and she knows as her big brother felt it was important to tell her.
