Mine always seem to be.  They eat breakfast at home, they have a morning snack around 9:30, then lunch, and I pack them a snack for aftercare that they eat at around 3:15.  I pick up between 4:00 and 4:30, and they are STARVING and THIRSTY (even though they have water bottles)... they start scavenging remainders from their lunch boxes the minute they get in the van...

Yes there are days she is like this.  School is hard work.   We always have a healthy snack for her or she can finish the lunch she did not eat.

Only if they do not get enough protein during the day. I usually send in a protein enriched granola bar for snack.

Mine typically grab a snack before starting homework.  Kindergarten is the only grade to have snacks during school.
