 Today is National Grammar Day!

I think we all have those little grammar and/or spelling errors that drive us crazy. What are your biggest pet peeves when it comes to those mistakes?

Double negatives are one of mine. My kids know this, and will purposely use them sometimes just to see me cringe : )

The way dh pronounces some words just drives me batty- he pronounces the "s" on the end of Illinois, and says "li-berry". Sometimes I correct him, other times I just shudder and let it go- if I haven't been able to break him of those habits after 18 1/2 yrs of marriage, I don't think I ever will.

I hate when people use "a" instead of "an".

A LOT is TWO words and it drives me absolutely batty when people think that it is only one word.

I also find it ridiculous when people use rediculous.  I have to try really hard to stop myself from replying, "I find it to be bluediculous".

I hate when I hear children saying things like "cray cray" and "you're just jelly."

I'd like to add "po-po" to that list.  UGH!

My MIL (and other PA. Dutch people in this area) say, "choir-practor" instead of, "chiropractor." It's like nails on a chalkboard to me.
