How do you determine how much to plant to provide for your famliy during the growing season and then to preserve so you can have throughtout the winter?

Is there a resource online I can go to to see how much I would need of each fruit/vegetable?

thanks

Quoting Kelly913:

So should the column headings be Vegetable, Yield per 100ft, Approx planting per person, Fresh, Frozen?  There are more headings than columns...

The "fresh" and "canned" headings are subheadings under "approximate planting per person".
