OK, total newbie here. I had one HUGE garden about 15 years ago, and this year decided to do it again. Only this time, it wasn't already pre-plotted and set up like it was before. We measured out and dug up a 10x20ft space in the back yard, and took out the sod, tilled by hand, and planted. Now, I have GRASS growing back everywhere! I can't keep up with it.
What can I do to control it this year? I've already put some straw down around the tomatos and beans. Should I just get more? Throw down black plastic? Weed barrier?
More importantly, what can I do to completely kill the grass so I don't have this problem next year?
