Identifying our "mystery plants" ... any ideas?

I have no clue what these are! I've tried comparing pictures of other plants, but nothing seems to match and I'm running out of ideas to Google. LOL! The seeds themselves were pretty large, but by the time we got to putting them in pots, all that was left of the seed was the shell, and I couldn't tell what it was. I have 4 of them, only 3 are growing (one is an attempt at bringing it back after being broken off).

Anyone know what these might be?!

They looked like this about 6 days ago:

My guess would be a zucchini or summer squash?

This is great. Thank you! Beautiful plants! I'm going to keep an eye on their leaf shape as they get bigger. :)

I've never grown beans before (of any kind), is there anything I need to know or do that is reccomended for these plants?

I would say beans by the look of the leaves. They tend to regenerate quick after being broken too.

Definitely beans, howevercan't tell what type until they grow a little more.  It should be easy to tell pole beans from bush beans before too long.

hi socal, the top picture of mine is pole bean and the bottom is bush beans

you'll be able to tell before long, if its a pole bean just stick a stick or bamboo stich or broom stick or any thing like that in the ground so it can climb up it

if its bush dont do anything!  you should get a nice batch of beans, as soon as they are ready to pick , pick em, so more will grow back
