I just wanted to say hi since it has been a while for me to visit this room. I took a break from most of my fun groups due to an all consuming obsession with the election.

Now that is over, my attention has once again turned to my backyard kitchen garden to global food politics.

I love this group and hope we can bring in more and more active members.

Glad to see you all again!

It is good to be thinking of my garden again.

Do you have anything growing?

I have chocolate mint, basil, onions, garlic, eggplants & green peppers, strawberries going still.  Lemon tree hanging in.  Oh, & new geraniums that reseeded.

I got lazy & didn't plant a Fall Garden this year, in light of having surg, the election, boys in school/band & doing the homework shuffle, & music lessons, lol.

How 'bout yourself?

The herbs are still going strong, cilantro, oregano, parsley, dill, rosemary. Sage and basil look on their way out. I have a pepper plant that looks like mini tree still producing tons of peppers too hot for me.

I put in lettuce, chard, kale, snow peas, brocolli and garlic.

It never gets very cold here, so I expect most of this will winter through.

Our citrus is just now coming into season, but I don't have a tree. My neighbor gave me a huge bag of kumquats so I made some jelly and candied others.
