About how long does it take a seed to sprout and show above the ground? I know temperatures and seed choice makes a difference, but just in general? It's been so long since the garden at my parent's when I was younger, I just don't remember.

That's what I was thinking. The Square Foot Garden book says some as soon as 4 days and I thought that seemed WAY too soon. I was all kinds of worried.

I just need to remind myself that worst case scenario, I can get new seeds and replant in a few weeks. :-P

I know.  This time of year people with snow always tell me how lucky I am to have the garden in and growing so early.  But in a month or two when its 115 degrees and I'm trying to keep things from dying, I won't feel so lucky.
