Thanks ladies....I guess I am looking for some "real life" symptoms. I am wondering if I have it (yes, I have an appointment scheduled). This may be TMI, so if you are easily offended stop reading now!
Here's what's going on with me....For the past few months, I have not had a solid bowel movement. At first I thought it was due to some new vitamins i was taking, so I didn't think too much of it. I stopped taking them to see if that was the cause, and I am still dealing with the same stuff. I will eat...and usually within minutes I am in the bathroom. I feel like I have constant diarrhea....it's always very liquidy. I get horrible stomach cramps too. I have some other seemingly random symptoms, but nothing too major. Can anyone or their loved one who is dealing with this relate to this or am I maybe dealing with something else? Sorry for TMI, this is actually pretty embarrassing...and it's effecting my life...I have to plan every single trip around if I have eaten lately (and even if I haven't, I still have, as we call them here, bathroom issues). I want my life back!!! |

This could possibly be Spastic Colon... or IBS (irritable bowel syndrome)... hopefully your doctor can figure it out quickly and give you some help to control it.

My hubby has crohns and i have ulertive colitis. His main symptoms with crohns are diarrhea, sudden urges to use the restroom, bloody stool and problens processing certain foods (dairy/spicy etc) Joe has it so badly that he cannot really function without an infusion every seven weeks and several pills a day. (if you want more than this pm me nd i will be glad to help)
I have colitis, it was pretty bad when i was younger (bloody stool diarrhea etc) but it went in to remission for years...UNTIL i gave birth, then it came back full force (birth is actually one of the common triggers for these types of dieseases) I have no insurance so I have to just suffer through it until I am able to get some. I hope you dont have crohns, it is such a hard thing to live with...Joe went through hell and nearly died before being diagnosed, i am really happy your going to a doctor! Quoting Mom2twinsinOH:

hey mama! my hubby's doctor does paid studies. My hubby gets free medicine and gets pd to go see the doctor. Since he started taking his experimental med he has been completely FINE! Maybe that might be something to chk into if you are interested. I hate to hear that you can't afford it, my hubby would prob still be sick if it wasnt' for the study.
