Are yo sure he is peeing less?  When my ds was that young his poo was usually very mushy and you couldn't distinguish whether or not he was peeing.  Does he have diarrhea or just more frequent poops?  I would go back to the doctor if you feel like something is wrong.  You are the Mommy and you can't ever be too safe.

I would stress that you are concerned about your child.  If the doctor you are currently seeing doesn't take the time to make sure you baby is fine then you need to get a new doctor until you are told what you need to here.  And that is what is wrong with your baby and what you can do to help.  Trust your instincts you know your baby better than anyone else and your baby's doctor is supposed to take care of your child.  So go back in there with guns blazing and demand they run tests to diagnose your baby

I'm not sure what that's all about either, but if the Dr. said to give sugar water and that's not helping then call the Dr back. Let him know you are very concerned.   Ask him why this is happening and what will happen if it continues.

Hope your son get better!! Sorry I couldnt help you more.

my son had very loose, and watery stools for about 3 -4 weeks.  i called the doc and even took him in....they said as long as he was eating normal and no fever that he was ok.  turned out it seemed to just be extra saliva that his intestines couldn't handle (at least that is what we have deduced it to be)  he was fine and is still very healthy.

My son had the same problem and the doctor told me to give him a little apple juice (it will cause him to have to poop) also plain pedalite in a dropper will help keep him hydrated which will make him want to eat more which will make him pee and poop more. good luck I hope this helps.

Are you formula feeding or breastfeeding?

When my son was a baby his poopy habits changed.  I was bfing and started to suppliment with formula and learned that formula fed babies poop less frequently.  My doctor first wanted me to make sure I was mixing the formula properly and suggested adding more water to his formula.  I tried this and had no luck so he suggested adding a little light kayro syrup to his formula and tada!  he began pooping more regular.  As he gets older he will poop less and less, my doc said as long as he poops every 2 to 3 days it was of no concern.  Does he seem bloated or uncomfortable?  I would definately speak with your doctor more about this, if nothing else for peace of mind, but try not to worry too much, he is likely just fine.  Good luck!
