Is everyone a Racist? (PIOG)

I believe so....because all racist remarks come from anger.. so if that was an excuss then there would be no racists!

I don't think that one comment being said out of anger or something is being a racist. To me, a racist is my sister who refuses to vote for Obama because of his skin color. Someone who doesn't go to this place or that place because there might be someone who isn't their same color there. I think it's sad that some people are racist. We are all the same, regardless of skin color.

That's kinda a hard question to answer. I think that saying a word does not make you racist I believe what is in your heart makes you a racist. I believe all people should be treated equally no matter their color, size, clothes they wear and so on... I will admit I get along better with black girls than I do white girls. The white girls I have met are usually judge mental and what I would call fake, valley girls....  So maybe in a sense I  am racist as well.... I like REAL people with individualtiy not the sheeps..... But again I do not classify it as all white people. Like the girls at the tanning salons, or Paris Hilton.... I hate all the Paris Hiltons of the world!!!

WTF? That is absurd. I would have called that business and complained. lol

I agree also. I say things out of anger ,I think most people are guilty of it. But I mostly say things out of Anger to my SO, So if thats the case id be sexist, not racist...lol. I am by far racist.

I agree, by the mere definition well one of them that is, racism is the hatred or intolerance of another race.  So everyone at one point in time has had some kind of intolerance towards another race.  People tend to discredit some one's feelings because they don't believe such things happen. IE, Black people being followed in a department store solely because they are black.  Or a white person being discriminated against based on Affirmative Action....These feelings by no means, mean we have hatred perse towards another race but it is what it is.

I think everyone has a racist thoughts, and NO I dont mean towards someone skin color, because technically racist is basically judging someone by Race,religion,body type etc.

So if your making jokes about fat people or skinny people thats being racist. IMO

I don't think everyone is a "bit racist".  I do, however, think that we are all prejudiced to varying degrees.  Prejudices tend to arise out of stereotypes, personal experiences and how a person was raised. 

OP: I do not think that one comment makes someone a racist.  I also do not think that all racist comments are made out of anger, some are made out of pure ignorance and for "shock value".  I hope that people can keep this post civil.  It will be interesting to read other's thoughts on the subject.
