I can not believe that my power bill went up 80 bucks cause they are charging us for some power purchase that has not even been approved. It says pending approval from Congress. Is anyone else going through this. I can not afford a 327 dollar power bill. I have no idea how to deal with this. Things have doubled and my husband's pay has not. And of course it is causing spats between us. We have to keep the internet for his job but I think I am going to sell my rings. This is just to much. How do some of you do it? Thanks for the help and listening.

our power bill keeps going up every month two. the worst part is - we live in Ohio so in a month or so it will start getting cold and then the bill will be even worse. i think last month it was $286

Im gonna look at my power bill when it comes in. We jsut moved so we have a new power company what do they say the charge is? our power bill will be going up because of the fact we are in a house not a small apartment. but i agree 327 is high for a power bill. Do you keep your AC on all the time. We do and i just deal with it because my husband can';t stand to be hot.

Maybe after your bill is paid of you can ask to be on the budget plan? I just got on it... Our biggest bill always comes at Christmas time when we have other things to spend money on. During this time it is 400+ we always pay some of it due to Christmas.... But then I learned of the budget plan... It is where they take your average and you pay that much a month. Mine is now $80, so no matter how much I use I will pay $80, it evens out with the less usage during the summer months. Hope that helps....

Yea I never even knew about it until I started paying my bill online. But I am going to be so happy and less stressed during the holiday season!!! I'm not sure what a fixed income means but it has nothing to do with qualifying for it. As long as your bill is up to date you should be able to do it. Hopefully they offer these services to you.

The charge they say is power purchase. I tried googling it and can find nothing on it. My husband likes for the air to run but I open the windows most of the time. Unless it is over 85. I might have to go to 90. What a mess. Hope things stay low for you in your house:)
