So my son was born with a full head of black hair, now he looks like a monk because his hair is thinning out a lot, especially in a circle around the sides of his head.  I just want to know if this has happened to anyone else's baby, I've heard of it before, but I'm not sure what's going to happen now!  Is it all going to fall out?  Will it grow back a different color/texture?  When will it start growing back and be a full head of hair again?

my daughter had a lot of hair, but it was very light so you could not even notice it was falling out really, except when I took her sheets to wash them I would notice hair fall off when i shook them (not a lot but some) lol...my daughter had reddish colored hair start to grow in soon after she started losing it, but she is 9months now and i think she has less hair now than she did at birth, but it is finally really starting to grow

LOL...same thing happened with my son. He was born with fine light brown hair and went bald. His hair came in a little darker than what he lost but for awhile he was totally bald. His twin sister was born with a full head of dark brown hair and never lost any.

How old is he,,  Yes it is completly natural for a newborn to loose all their hair..  It will grow back,  and it wont all fall out.  My son looked like george from seinfeld for a while but when he was born had tons of hair,,  he is 5 and hairy as ever..lol  Calm down.. all is fine momma.. Good luck.

My son was born with blackish hair. It all fell out and grew back in light brown. Same thing with me when I was a baby. All black hair that fell out and grew back in white-blonde.

My daughter's hair did that! But it came back a little lighter and thicker!

My DD's hair did that too.  She had the same hairline as my grandpa!!!  She has hair all over her head now.

my son lost almost all the hair on the back of his head, from laying on his back so much and moving his head from side to side. Rubbed it right off!! lol it's all grown back now, he has long blonde cute curls :)

thats very normal!!! especially if the baby spends a lot of time in the car seat. the little headrest thingy rubs it. or the mattress will rub it too. That is just baby fuzz- I promise it will grow thick and beautiful and you will be saying" you need a haircut" like i continue to do with my 16 and 10 year old boys.

This is totally normal. My dd was born with thick black hair. Three months later, her black hair started thinning, and it started turning red with blonde highlights! Dd had a long strand of black hair (like a tail) on the back of her head-you could actually braid it-lol! Strangers use to comment about her 'tail' everytime we went out. By the time she was a year old, her hair had turned a light brown with blonde highlights...
