What is an African American from another country called?

Black? My grandpa is 100% Filipino, but his skin is black. He's still Filipino though, no one refers to him as black, but that's what he is if he were to be discerned by color alone.

me too, everywhere else that is what they are refered to.as...i think here everyone is so concerned about being politically correct that they have to say African Amercians..maybe?

Yea, a lot of people get offended over all sorts of things. People are seriously PC now. Anyway, I'm not sure if it's against the rules in this group to suggest another group... but yea, definitely if you have racial questions DRIH is awesome.

if they aren't from America then they are not any kind of American....

It depends on where they are from...but I do believe most countries put black in front of whatever they are...Black German for example...

Personally I prefer Black to African American...Africa is a continenent not a country...and I personally wasn't born here....

Actually if you just want to call me Ebony that is ok too :-P
