what is the name brand for it?  That is the generic name and it means nothing to me.  I have one son on Concerta for his ADHD and we are about to put my 8 yr old on it also.  I have two other children who do not have ADHD and require no medication.

Sounds like Adderall.  My daughter was on it for years with great success, but ended up switching to Vyvanse because the Adderall was causing her to have bipolar symptoms, and she's not bipolar.  Her psychiatrist switched her because Vyvanse works the same way, but no bipolar side effects.  It's wonderful.  My daughter loves it.

Never mind it is basicly Adderall which is what the Dr. already said he would like to see her on. Her mom is so retarded. I told her that the Dr wants her to take Ritalin or Adderall.
