So we recently bought our house, we needed to redo the living room, our room, dining area, entrance way, and our son's room. We had 4 different colors in all PLUS primer. We paid for all the paint and primer ($300+). The guy took out wood paneling and put in sheetrock (our living room is a pretty big area) and for the living room, entrance way, and dining area it was $600 in all, for our bedroom and our son's bedroom it was $300. He did a good job, some things i didn't like but it wasn't anything big, I'm just a perfectionist and even if he did fix them, I would probably still be complaining lol. Anyways, we had about one gallon of our living room, entrance way, and dining room color. Half a gallon of our bedrooms red and one gallon of our bedrooms eggshell color. We HAD one and a half gallon of our son's color (we got more of that color because we are going to paint the baby's nursery the same color). So we go into the shed today to get all the plastic, primer, brushes, and paint. Wo looked at all of the cans and the color is nowhere to be found...well let me say this...HALF a gallon is still there, open...We looked in the shed again and it's nowhere, we looked in the garage and it's nowhere. DH called him and he got no answer, the guy is a pastor of a church down the street so we go over there and see if he's there....well he wasn't, but they are painting part of their church...guess what color?!?!?!?!? Yep, the same exact color as our sons bedroom! And I know it's our can because I wrote "Parker's bedroom" on top of the can! HELLLLO! He wasn't there, just some kid painting. That paint was expensive! He knew we were going to use it to paint the nursery! AND A PASTOR FREAKIN STOLE OUR PAINT TO PAINT HIS CHURCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF! I'm gonna call tomorrow until I get a hold of him..I'm pissed!

EDIT: So after calling him 5 times on his cell this morning and leaving messages every time, calling his church MY MOTHER (she paid for the living room to be painted as our house warming gift..he never called me!) got a phone call from him. She explained that we were about to start painting the nursery and noticed that one of the cans of paint was missing, I tried calling him on his cell and at the church and then we went to the church to see if he was there to ask him where he placed the can of paint. Then she told him that we did see the can of paint that was ours. He said that my husband told him that he could have all of the left over paint (wouldn't he have taken ALL of the paint, including the half gallon as well?) so we needed to ask him about it (DH wasn't even here the day the guy finished up and DH said he never ever asked about the left over gallon, the pastor told DH there was a gallon of paint he never used and DH said he knew we were going to use that for the baby's room. I was there during this conversation). My mom told him that no one ever told him that he could have the paint, that our baby is due in 6 weeks and we needed to get started on painting the nursery so we would appreciate the paint back. The guy said that there was no more paint, in fact he was headed to Sherwin Williams to pick up another gallon, my mom told him that he needed to pick up 2 gallons and bring it to her because he did take that gallon of paint. He told her he would and he was sorry for our "lack of communication". I called DH just to make sure that he didn't say anything to the guy about him keeping the paint and DH said "hell no, why would I give away a $50 can of paint that I knew we were using?". I don't know, but at least I'm getting my paint back! But, he has still YET to call me back...

Wow... pastor or not... some people will do just about anything.  Wonder what made him think you wouldn't realize it was missing?

No, it was pretty much gone, they painted a whole hallway the color. So there wasn't very much left. But on the top of the can, in red sharpie, in my handwriting it said "Parkers room" just like the other can's that were labeled with each room. I have NO idea how to even go about asking a preacher "why did you steal my paint to paint your church?"
