Still not good at it, and I still hate it.  But my husband and I have found a balance, where essentially stuff gets done, and the house isn't too messy, and frankly, we're just not going to have the perfect, spotless house unless company is coming over.  We're fine with that.

I'm not a wife, but here goes:

Never. I'm not worried about having an immaculate house. Spending time with my kid is more important.

I am a liberal, non-CIO, formula feeding because it was necessary, pro-choice, pro-gay and straight unions, socialist, unitarian universalist, theosophist, free range, educated single mother of one beautiful girl who is my entire life.

Well, my boys are almost 4 and 1, over the age of 27 and I still don't have it down. I was doing pretty good until my second came along, but I tried to do it the most when my oldest was at preschool. By the end of the day I just want time to myself, I don't care about cleaning! I can clean if I have someone coming over, but normally I just try to float on the cleaning and get just the basics done.

Honestly, I was better at cleaning when I was a younger mother lol. Seriously, my house used to be immaculate and now I am just too tired to get to everything. My place most definitely looks lived in at this time.

Made my chore when I became a SAHM 7yrs ago that little things are every day-like dishes, but the main cleaning/dusting was once a week-that has always worked for me.  As for the mom thing-still working on it 11yrs later (the age of my oldest).

Housework is SO far down my list of priorites, it's pathetic.  As long as I can walk my house from end to end w/o tripping over anything.... there are dishes to eat off of... and nobody's running around naked.... I'm good.

I have 6 ppl living in about 1200 sq ft.  It's going to be cluttered... there's just no getting around that.  I also have 4 kids (2-11) that I homeschool..... there are just more important things for me to be doing than playing Martha Stewart.

I'm 29 I have been married for 5 years with my DH for 9. Been a mom for almost 5 years.

And I still don't have the housework part down.

My house is spotless but I get no sleep to have it that way.

And I still hate it has much as I did 9 years ago. LOL

Pretty much the same here but I haven't really had anyone to help me in a while.  Infact my ex was a major slob so unless I cleaned it myself no one else did it at all.  My older kids try but aren't that great at it either.  My house is never spotless unless my Dad and step Mom are coming to visit(step-mom is a social worker).  And well, when I work a 70 hour week there are no promises as to what my house will look like before I get some time off to clean it, not that it gets down right discusting or anything, I just wouldn't want anyone to see it is all.
