I have a pound of hamburger, and I have no idea what to cook. I need to go to the grocery store badly, so I am limited in what I have.

Spaghetti is off the list.

Hamburgers are off the list.

And... Im out of ideas and dread having to use hamburger helper.

And also, if anyone has a recipe for meatloaf please share.

I use 2lbs of hamburger for my meatloaf.

Tacos

Nachos

Easy stroganaff, my kids love it.

1lb hamburger

1 can cream of whatever (chicken, mushroom, even celery)

sour cream

Noodles or rice

Cook hambuger, add cream of whatever.

Cook noodles or rice.

Add noodles and sour cream with meat/cream of whatever stir.

If you use rice, just add mixture and serve on top or add in together, your choice.

If you have crackers or bread even you can make the hamburger stretch by adding some to it. Add an egg some onion seasonings and then make it into either a meatloaf of meat balls. If you have any kind of cream soups you can put that over it after its pretty well done to make a gravey.

sometimes i'll take hamburger and some of my favorite veggies or whatever canned veggies are in the pantry and make a skillet type thing.

i brown the hamburger, and while i'm browning it, i heat up broth and water in a sauce pan (usually one box of the beef broth and a cup of water).  then i add rice to the hamburger - usually flavored wild rice... and add 1/3 cup of the broth and water mixture to the rice and hamburger at a time.  the same exact way i cook risotto, actually.  once the rice is close to being done and almost all of the broth/water is absorbed, i add the veggies and cook for a few more minutes.  serve when the rice and veggies are done!

it's not fancy but it's pretty yummy, i flavor to taste with salt, pepper, etc.  and if i use rice from a box that had a flavor packet in it, i like to use the flavor packet.  last week i used rice pilaf and used the mushroom flavor packet inside the box to flavor it.
