i am considering going  back to school and i was wondering for all you ladies who are medical assistance do you like your job?  how hard was the courses? are there any job available in the field? do you ever question if you choose the right career choice?

am not sure yet what i want to do i am considering between 5 different career choices.

  1. Medical assistance or LPN are my first 2 choices. --With LPN my tabes would have to be 12.9 which means i would have to work on my tabe extra hard to get up there. for medical assistance i would have to have a 10 which i will still have to work cause i am not quite there yet but it wouldn't take me no time to get there.
  2. Physical Therapist Assistance -- i am not sure what tabes i would need for this i found it in the college catalog and it look interesting
  3. Respiratory Care -- i also and not sure of the tabe scores
  4. Legal Administrative Specialist-- other words this i a legal secretary but i also am unsure of the tabe scores.

As you can see i am leaning toward either Medical assistance or LPN because i have always like the medical field, but i am unsure of the medical field because as of right now i am a certified Medical secretary and have been unable to find work since i finished school back in 06. So some time i wonder if i choose the right career choice and if maybe medical isn't the way to go right now. so what do you ladies think?

If any of you ladies have worked in any of these fields i would greatly appreciate any feedback that you ladies could offer.  i really don't know what to do. if i choose medical assitance i would have to wait until next August because i can not do the night and weekend classes which are the only ones they offer for the Spring term but on the flip side it would give me plenty of time to get everything that i would have to do, done. but at the same time i am still not sure which one i should choose. when i went to school for medical secretary i made a quick decision. and personally i think i made a mistake and i don't want to make another mistake. I don't want to go to school again and still not be able to find work.

so please if any of you ladies have any advice of feedback for your own personal experience i would greatly appreciate it. or would you please bump my post i really need some advice or feed back.

 thanks a lot

do you have to complete CNA in order to do LPN? i really don't want to do CNA, a girl i know  is a CNA and she hates it and she just started. she had urine poured on her a couple of week ago.

Well my BIL is a Physical Therapist Assistant here in CA and he makes $5000 a month with a $5000 signing bonus when he started. There are a ton of jobs for him here in CA and he had a hard time even picking the one that best suited him. He went to school for only 2 years so to me that would be on my list.

My sister is also an LPN, and she makes $4000, but she doesnt really love her job.
