Knives in the silverware strainer. How do you do it?
I ALWAYS put knives business end down when I put them in the strainer after I wash them. Same was true when I had a dishwasher. Business end never went up. I stabbed myself ONCE and learned after that, quickly, not to ever do that again.
My dad's super bad about putting his razor sharp knives in the strainer with the business end up. I can't stand that. I also didn't know about it until a couple of weeks ago, when one of his could-be surgical instruments was there in the strainer, I went to get a baby spoon out of the strainer and almost hacked my hand off. >_<
So. What about you? Am I the only one this irks? I like my hands, and wanna keep 'em. LOL
Seriously? He must like getting cut!
It's amazing how people don't hold themselves to the standards they set for others.

Sorry, but not all. My brother's a Chef and I've been in restaurants for 20 years. And we were always told by management and ServeSafe to have them up for sanitary reasons. Even the Health Departments will tell you that.
