Is that what they give for H1N1?

my dd's dr told me tamiflu isn't a cure all for the flu, that it just helps aleviate the symptoms, helps shorten the time they are around. My daughter was diagnosed on Wed, and she still has her horrible cough, but today (at least so far) she isn't throwing up with it. Our dr also said for her to take a cold/cough type med to help with the cough.

I don't know if that helped you any, I do hope you feel better soon! :)

It won't work if you didn't start it early enough.  My kids were better by 4 to 5 days.  Dd still had a cough, but she has asthma.

You have to cough up the phlegm in your chest, try taking Mucinex it helps.

Thats why I asked if it was what they give for H1N1. Thats what DD is taking and the dr told me the same thing your dr told you. DD has had it for 4 days and shes finally feeling better!

I started it like the morning after the symptoms hit me.

I guess i should wait out the 5 days.

Tamiflu isn't going to help your cough.
