Under Arm temp... ??

When you take their temp under their arm (pit area) do you add to it ?

It is 100.8  so if you add to it would it be 100.9 or 101.8 ?

I'm too old to remember these things :(

Thanks in advance

I believe you add, so if it reads 100.8 it would be 101.8.

101.8...you add a full degree for under the arm.  Hope your little one feels better!

I believe the rule is you add a degree.  That is what we did in the daycares I worked in.

Thank you so much. Fever has went up more.

She is my 3 yr old grandbaby.  Just now got her meds down. Couldn't get it in her for nothing.

She feel asleep , her mommy is taking her to the dr in an hour.

I hate when the kids are sick. I always hated it when mine or anyone elses babies, toddlers, children are sick.  I know how I feel when I am sick....

Her little back hurts and belly too.

She's so quiet and just lays on my lap.

I hate sickness.

Thanks again for all who answered, I am forever grateful !
