What's one thing you want your kids to have that you didn't have?

Mine is to live close to their high school (I had to commute 40 minutes) We moved just to be close to their high school so they wouldn't have to commute.

What about you?

College education!! It is very important to me. I threw my chance away. I want them to know that this is what they need to be successful in life! Not to take it for granted! I am going back to college now and by doing this I want them to understand that no matter what getting an education is the most important thing. Friends are nice to have but at the end they wont pay the bills, an education will!

Parents that aren't divorced. To not change schools frequently. Decent house. To know that I am there to listen whenever they need to talk, no matter what. The common sense to save themselves at least until they are 18 and/or graduated. To go to college straight out of high school. I graduated 2 1/2 years ago and still am not in college. But I am working on it. Hopefully by next fall. *crosses fingers*. Um. I think that's it. No, there's probably more I just can't think of them.

ETA. Thought of a couple more.

For me to walk them to the bus stop in the mornings and be there waiting in the afternoons. And me to be active in PTA or any boosters(like choir). I was in choir for 5 years and my mom never did any of the boosters type of things and was never PTA or anything. I always wished she was more interested in what I did in school. I think I would've done alot better. Which reminds me, for both of us to help with homework and actually communicate with her teachers when she's struggling instead of just letting her struggle.
