Just reading through another post where we all put our POVs on many subjects and saw that many moms were "against" gay marriage. Just wondering what harm it would do to you personally if gay people were allowed to marry. Can anyone answer this question for me?

The bottom line is, gay people will be gay regardless. If you "approve" or don't approve, they're still going to be gay. Why would you want them to be denied a basic human right? And please oh please stop comparing gay people to thieves, liars, murderers, and drug dealers. They're not even close to being the same.

24 year old tutu makin momma to Jenelle, Gracelynn, and Sapphire. Girlfriend to Rachel (not wife, because apparently some people are AGAINST two loving, consenting adults marrying).

  •  This is the one subject i am very passionate about.  My cousin committed suicide because my aunt and uncle weren't supportive that he was gay.  He rather be dead then have to live with the fact that his parents didn't approve...makes me so sad.  It has no effect on ANYONE...and it is unconstitutional to tell an American they can not marry someone they love

  • It goes against what they believe, doesn't matter if it effects them personally or not. I am a firm believer in not going to the circus, but it doesn't effect me personally what goes on there. I just don't like it, the circus that is. I just stated that since I don't care about gay marriage. I guess I just spoke my mind about what I thought b/c I don't think anyone against it, will really say anything

  • I am completely for it, so I don't have an answer. Oh, and I am straight.  There is no bias.  I believe in equal rights and will fight for them for anyone that is treated unfairly.

  • I am honestly confused on how I feel about homosexuality... I think just because of how I was raised and I still am a devout Catholic -

    However

I am also a strong believer that anything that is peaceful, voluntary, and honest should be legal regardless of whether I personally agree with it, or not. If an act doesn't have a victim, then it shouldn't be considered a crime, or illegal. There is a saying (by whom I cannot remember) that says We must Protect even our Enemy from Oppression, for if We violate this Duty we are Setting a Precedent that Will one day Reach to Ourselves (not calling anybody specifically and enemy lol, just a quote).

I am a Private School sending, Vaccinating, Non spanking, Nightmare Cuddling, Dessert Giving, Homework Helping, Bedtime Kissing, Book Reading, Academic pushing Mum. I believe in the benefit of organized after school activities. I believe in spoiling my children. I believe that I have seen the village and I do not want it raising my child - I will do that, Thank You. I believe that a woman's place is in the home taking care of her house, children and husband. I am submissive and proud, my husband is head of my home. I am a proud, traditional Roman Catholic, as is my husband... Yes we are teaching our daughter that The Church is the only Church.               Aimee

  • It doesn't...if Gays were allowed to marry tomorrow in every 50 states, my marriage would mean just as much then as it does now....

      Team Santa~

Who I am as a mom can not be expressed in a paragraph. It is expressed by who my children will become.
