So I go to the grocery store and I am using my WIC check, all of a sudden I hear a loud sigh behind me. Then she wispers, ugh waiting on the single mommy as usual.... why do I alwas get behind them? Then that wasnt good enough she had to proceed on, then she says those kids dont even look like they have the same daddy, I bet this one isnt either. (cause I am pregnant).
Thank you very much lady, and no I am not a single mom, I am married, my fingers are too fat for my rings...and yes she is right my two current kids dont have the same dad, but my youngest and the one I am prego with does. What is wrong with that anyways, Yes I made a mistake in my life( he isnt a mistake, the decision was) and he is 7 and my next one iis not even 2, so it isnt like I just had one after the other blah blah blah.
I learned from it and waited til Iw as married for the next ones. Why do people have to be so mean? If I was paying in cash you think she would have said a damn word? WIC is the only assistance I get and use, why do I need to be judged over it? It really does make me cry.

just make snyde remarks back, I do they shut up. I had a lady get pissed because I was using my wic checks and the cashier was new at doing them so she decided to say something like " if you can afford kids dont have them then waste others time" and I just turned to her and said " im sorry my husband had to miss both births of his children barely get to be in their lives so that YOU can stand there and had the freedom to be such a bitch to others"
she shut up and wouldnt look in my direction , damn what a shame

I've had a lady come up to me at Wal Mart and tell me "Oh I'm sdo glad you have assistance to help you stay healthy for that baby! I'm assuming you are putting the baby up for adoption?" When i told her No, she got all nasty and said "All you young moms need a reality check. Babies are NOT dolls!"
I was 20. It does happen.

no this is totally true, I live in a little town outside of Boise Idaho. I shop at a place called Ridleys. It is sad how some people react to others getting a helping hand

It really sucks.. I find go to the SMALLEST store possible that does wic and i get my crap there. I go there because i know everyone behind me is usin the same card as me.. makes me feel a little better.
Sorry about that mama. You should have given her a piece of ur mind since she obviosuly had none of her own.

there's a lot of judgemental people out there who think that if you "need help" you are less than them. Everyone wants the quick fix... No one wants to read an entire book when you can easily watch a movie. No one wants to talk with the mom of 3 kids, when you can easily judge her based on her looks.
