Today I took my mom to the airport so she could fly back to Cali. Well on the way home I am stopped at a stop light and I look over and there is a boy NO older than 4 and I would even say maybe 3...No booster, no car seat, no seatbelt. He was just hoping all over the back seat.
Serious with all the stuff out about car seat safety are there really parents who ignore it and think that not strapping in their small child is safe? WTF Is wrong with these people!

"I'd never get in an accident."
"I rode without a seatbelt and I turned out okay."

I did this one day...i was driving from Il to Ny and there was a car next to me with 5 kids in the back with the oldest being maybe 8 and the youngest looked about 1. The 2 youngest kids were sitting on the laps of other kids no seat belt. I took their tag and called it in and the cops said they dont think they would have had time to go check on that.....at least i felt better cause it was at least reported.

You wouldn't believe the amount of children I see that aren't in car seats or boosters or even belts. My oldest is 6 years old and a big girl but she is still in a booster even though I'd say 95% of her kindergarten class don't have them. My 4 yr old is still in a 5 point harness and will stay like that until she can't fit anymore. My 16 month old is rear facing and will continue to stay that way until she is too big to be that way. But I've seen tons of people who just open the back door for their 3 year olds to climb in the back of the car and then go drive off.
i saw a parent leaving my childs school in the booster seat placed in the passenger seat. i couldnt believe it. its a 2 door car so i guess they dont want to place them in the back. i am trying to figure out who it is so i can report them to the school. its not the first time i have seen the parents do this.
thats nuts i keep my 3yr old in a 5 point harness & she will stay that way til she can no longer be harnessed but she will stay in a booster granted my family thinks im crazy but ummm sorry im not a risk taker

I highly doubt the school cares. I see kids my DD's age and younger just jump in the front seat with or with out a booster. The teachers see and do not do anything.
